With the launch of a new set of Yu-Gi-Oh! playing cards, Asmodee, an international distributor wanted to promote it to the Dutch market. To raise awareness for the card game and to tell the target audience where they can acquire Yu-Gi-Oh! playing cards, Adshot and Gaming Agency VCTRY worked with a TikTok influencer that would come up with a unique and very informative approach to create a branded TikTok video.
That influencer was Rickachu, an amazing and very entertaining YouTuber, Twitch streamer and TikTok creator. He’s also known for playing with and unboxing playing cards and he also posts gaming-related content. In his TikTok video, he informed his audience about Yu-Gi-Oh! playing cards and playmats, how to play the game and where to buy a starter kit.
As a TikTok Ads Partner, Adshot further boosted the reach of the TikTok video towards targeted audiences. The organic reach and the paid boost resulted in more than 1.000.000 video views within the Netherlands, raising quite the awareness!
